Ce RosenewCe Rosenow’s poetry, essays, translations, interviews, and book reviews have appeared in journals and anthologies in the United States and abroad. She is the former coeditor of Northwest Literary Forum and Portlandia Review of Books, and she is the publisher of Mountains and Rivers Press. She lives in Eugene, Oregon where she teaches writing and literature at Lane Community College and the University of Oregon. She is also currently serving as president of the Haiku Society of America.
 
the water’s surface
broken
a fisherman casts in the rain

                                                                   in this kiss
                                                                   all our other kisses—
                                                                   summer solstice

so many stars
so much I don’t know—
